O Virgin-Ee-I-A, I'm comin' down to see you O Virgin-Ee-I-A, I'm comin' down some day. From Ohio up north of the hills to Shenandoah, to your deep, green valley. My Love there awaits, so far away My heart beats there true, Oh what can I do? But she wants me not, no love does she feel The life that we shared has lost its appeal... My hope crumbles dry, as bread for the birds And my anguished cry, no mourning dove has heard.

about

In addition to the treasures of the past, Steve loves to create new traditions with the tunes that flow from the sweet river. Floating along with his dulcimers, his music is enjoyed throught the US, Europe, the UK, New Zealand and Australia.

The companion book for this CD is available from www.owlmountainmusic.com

The title track was inspired by this poem by Jean Ritchie (reprinted with permission)

I Celebrate Life!
I tangle my fingers in its long-haired grasses with gladness.
I beat upon its breast with futility.
I lie across is loins with joy.
I give to it and take from it sweet juices of abundance with pain and pleasure.
I replenish it with my tears and the vibrations of my laughter:
Until it sweeps me off, I will not leave it.
This World, this Earth!
This Universe, this Time and Space!
This Chance at finding God!
This life!

about

Steve Eulberg Boise, Idaho

I stand within the tradition of handmade, acoustic,
home-grown music, giving life to old songs and
tunes and songs by passing them on while creating
new ones to add to the mix.

I use the vibrations of wood and string, playing and singing traditional songs and fiddle tunes; weaving
together Celtic, Old-time, blues and jazz to create “Smile-inducing, toe-tapping, thought-provoking
folkgrass.”
